wow this thing is pricey and even i was a student chances of me picking this item up is slim at best. Hopefully this 10 pound gadget can store 1000′s of books. Otherwise its perfect for heavy readers and travelers

I should agree that it saves a lot of paper and adds to the convenience. It does sound nice to see that curling in the chair.

I see using this quite differently than my laptop and desktop. I am often reading pdf research documents which are in excess of 100 pages. I hate sitting in front of my computer to do this so I end up printing them out. The eBook reader makes sense to me. I can upload my pdfs and curl up in a chair or in a comfortable position on the couch to do my reading. I wouldn’t think of taking my laptop to the beach so I am often tethered to my laptop or desktop at home when I have reading to do. This looks like the perfect device to get me out of the house. I can see the advantage of pleasure reading on such a device. I like the ability to search keywords, and annotate while reading.

Though i would not buy a supplementary device, this might be of some interest to students who spend $400 a semester on books. This can be cut down substantially.

This is a different cadre of a gadget that can be made use of to download publications and books. That is why the target is the student community. It is not a ebook reader. Here you have to download books, not ebooks.

Even i do not want to buy these gadgets. Why buy something supplementary to a laptop?
