Samsung NC10 – New Samsung NETBOOK

New models in samsung NC10 netbooks hitting the shelf are being pre-ordered at the samsung stores. With netbooks selling like hot cakes, the samsung Nc10 is all geared to heighten the trend with its price. Starting at just £243.00 ($499), With extended 8 hour battery life and high capacity storage – 160GB, Samsung NC10 is all setting a new revolution.

Many users have ditched the 7 inch screens and are moving towards bigger screens. Samsung seems to have read the requirements clearly. Samsung NC10 sports a good 10.2″ screen with 1024 x 600 resolution. The two models NC10-14GW (white) and the NC10-14GB (blue) are exactly similar except for the skin. Both the samsung netbooks are powered by a Intel Atom processor N270 with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz. Standard memory is 1GB (DDR2 800MHz), expandable up to 2GB, which is reasonable because of windows XP Home SP3.

While most netbooks have been scanty in memory, the samsung NC10 netbook breaks from fetters and provides a huge 160GB hard disk. The 2.5″ HDD makes the samsung NC10 netbook more like a notebook. The camera is quite good with 1.3 MP,considering the fact that most netbooks dont have one. The other standard requisites like the USB ports, bluetooth, Ethernet and audio jacks do not leave a hole anywhere. To power up the processor, there is also a 128MB shared Graphics Memory. Compare with specs from Toshiba NB100, this netbook is power packed as well as bigger at the same time.

The samsung NC10 notebook is 2.8 lbs in weight (1.33 Kg) and there is a 6 cell Lithium ion battery. What makes the samsung NC10 netbook very special is the 8 hour long battery life (as claimed by samsung). With wireless powered internet surfing should leave the netbook with 5 hours battery life, which is pretty good.

If you are looking for a netbook with bigger hard disk capacity and longer battery life, samsung NC10 is a pretty good choice. Though no support for linux has been mentioned in the netbook, installing Linux should make the netbook only better.
