The 120Hz frame rate technology feature is one that can only be experienced. The Sony Bravia XBR LCD televisions are powered by a BRAVIA Engine™ 2 PRO engine for high quality picture processing. There is also an optional internet video link, which lets you watch youtube videos on your Sony bravia, besides AOL and Sports Illustrated, all using your existing broadband connection and can be operated using a remote. XBR series (XBR7) also come with a Ethernet (RJ-45) port.

120 Hz vs 240Hz :
Most Sony Bravia televisions sport a 120Hz, while an optional 240Hz frame rate technology is also newly released. Lets put it simple – Unless your office pays for this television, go for 120Hz, because the difference is not obvious, but there is a huge difference in price.
Sony bravia XBR series Price :
Sony Bravia XBR Series KDL-52XBR7 52-Inch 240Hz 1080p LCD HDTV – $3999
Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR6 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV – $2348
Samsung LN52A860 Ultra-thin 52 – $2308
Samsung LN52A650 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color – $1868
LCD prices have dropped by over 25% in this year, and are not expected to grow further down. You may expect the first model to become cheaper in a couple of months, however the other models are a deal today.

I am considering the 240Hz. It actually shows up more dynamic content in a even effective way. I differ from your opinion and I would call it good advancement in technology. Of course my husband pays for the TV..

@ jessica – There are of course a few advancements in the technology, but you could buy 2 televisions in the cost of one.
if your husband pays for it, you can go for it..
