In this digital era, people are so hooked to their desktops and laptops, televisions could be ignored for the technically challenged. But latest technology in the sony bravia LCD KDL-52XBR7 makes you think twice. With Remarkable picture quality and bona fide color, SONY Bravia has set a new benchmark in LCD world. With 1080p 52-inch LCD screen, this beauty is a delight.
The new Sony bravia features LED backlighting, which enriches the color on the screen much brighter and also look natural. This helps the sony bravia engine make smart and intelligent adjustments to deliver better contrast when required automatically. The 120Hz frame rate technology feature is one that can only be experienced. The Sony Bravia XBR LCD televisions are powered by a BRAVIA Engine™ 2 PRO engine for high quality picture processing. The Sony’s Motionflow technology aids to the resolution and produces real time experience inside your living room. The XBR series house a pleasing 3D menu, and has very easy navigation for the most accessed features placed in a thumbnail.
INTERNET :
There is also an optional internet video link, which lets you watch youtube videos on your Sony bravia, besides AOL and Sports Illustrated, all using your existing broadband connection and can be operated using a remote. XBR series (XBR7) also come with a Ethernet (RJ-45) port.
COMPATIBILITY :
Sony bravia features all rich sources of high definition videos and can take inputs in the form of set-top cable or satellite tuner or Blu-ray Disc player.
PHOTO VIEWER :
Sony bravia XBR series can also be used to slide show your photos in your USB, in a very creative and multi pane 3D display. If that does not please you, the sony bravia LCD televisions are built in with wireless technology to access your photos from your PC, in the next room.
120 Hz vs 240Hz :
Most Sony Bravia televisions sport a 120Hz, while an optional 240Hz frame rate technology is also newly released. Lets put it simple – Unless your office pays for this television, go for 120Hz, because the difference is not obvious, but there is a huge difference in price.
Sony bravia XBR series Price :
Sony Bravia XBR Series KDL-52XBR7 52-Inch 240Hz 1080p LCD HDTV – $3999
Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR6 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV – $2348

I am considering the 240Hz. It actually shows up more dynamic content in a even effective way. I differ from your opinion and I would call it good advancement in technology. Of course my husband pays for the TV..

@ jessica – There are of course a few advancements in the technology, but you could buy 2 televisions in the cost of one.
if your husband pays for it, you can go for it..

The inclusion of LED backlighting on these models has been a great step forward. Not only are LED’s more energy efficient, but they do not degrade over time as the standard fluorescent backlights do. This means that the picture will retain its contrast for the full life of the set.
